Our current project is a bathroom remodel in Orange County. This bathroom remodel consists of complete removal of the shower, toilet, sinks, counter tops, cupboards, mirrors, walk-in closets and flooring.
The best way to eliminate squeaky hinges is with a silicon spray like Liquid Wrench, the spray adheres to and penetrates the metal of the hinges better and lasts for a very long time, another advantage to silicon is that it is not flammable and does not have a strong odor.
WD-40 is the second choice, although it is flammable and does have a strong smell, it will also penetrate the metal of the hinge and eliminate the annoying squeaks.
Last but not least, if you are in a pinch and not going to be heading to your local home improvement store any time soon PAM works great! I have used this in the past and it has lasted to date for over 6 months!
This should eliminate the problem.
